- What do you require prior to my horse’s arrival?
- The following items need to be returned (filled out and
signed) prior to boarding. (Please make a copy of all signed
documents for your records).
Current Vaccination certificates
A signed liability waiver form or a signed pasture boarding agreement
A signed stall boarding agreement
A check for your first month's rent
- What is included in my board package?
- As a part of the board package you are entitled to use
of the barn facilities, the riding ring, basic feed twice
daily, daily stall cleaning and the use of the exercise
pastures and general recreational riding as described in
these FAQ's and Pricing pages. All
watering is included in your package.
- What shots and vaccinations do you require?
- Check with your vet for additional vaccinations, but you
must, at a minimum have West Nile, Rhino and Coggins. Your
horse should be wormed. Other treatments may be indicated
for our area (Eastern Washington).
- What do you require of my horse after their arrival?
- Your horse should be freshly trimmed or shod, teeth
floated (if necessary), regularly bathed and cared for.
- What is your feeding program?
- We feed to your specifications. IF you have special
supplements that you want fed to your horse please bring
them in with you when you come. Supplements and feeding
schedules must be specified in the boarding agreement. We
will not buy and resell supplements or any special food
beyond the hay that we feed here. We feed a
timothy/alfalfa/orchard grass mix at 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM
every day. Please contact our barn staff if you have
questions.
- What if I am to be gone for awhile and need additional
care for my horse?
- We can turn out your horse for you for additional
exercise when you are gone. Please talk to our barn staff
before you leave, and establish an exercise schedule for
your horse.
- Do you have farrier or veterinary services available at
the ranch?
- We will recommend a local farrier or vet for you to use
if you need one, but we do not retain that level of staffing
on site.
- Do you have trailer parking and wash stalls?
- We can not allow you to park your horse trailer or rig
at Unionville Ranch while you board here. We have one heated
wash rack with hot and cold water.
- What are your barn hours?
- We open at 9:00 AM and close at 9:00 PM 7 days a week.
We are closed Christmas day, and may close during the year
for special events.
- Can I ride your trails when I board my horse at
Unionville Ranch?
- We are sorry but our current insurance does not allow us
to either take out trail rides, nor does it allow free
riding on our land. Public road easements are available for
riding, and there is a lot of public land close by that is
available for riding.
- Where will I store my tack?
- We have a tack room with basic saddle racks and storage
areas, but you may want to bring your own tack box for
storage. Sorry, we can not be responsible for the security
of your tack while it is stored here.
- Are your arenas lighted and heated year round?
- The arena is well lit, and heated when necessary.
- Can I bring my family and friends with me when I come to
ride?
- All visitors are welcome as long as they are accompanied
by a boarder. If anyone else is going to ride, they must
sign the Unionville Ranch liability release. We do not allow
horses or riders other than those boarded here to use the
facilities.
- May I bring my dogs with me?
- Your dogs are welcome but they must be on a leash and
under your control at all times. If your dog harasses horses
or boarders, or runs wild, you will be asked to not bring
that animal back to the barn.
A note on these FAQ's - please check our
rules and disclaimer page for more information. Not all the
information you need to know is here.
